-
-
Family Room, 300 S.F.
-
Formal Outdoor Area, 300 S.F. (i.e. deck, roof garden, etc.)
Narrative:
The Smith Family requests an addition to their home, which was originally designed in 1965 by Richard Meier. Mr. Smith is a retired baseball player and requests that a formal outdoor area is in the shape of a baseball field, to make him feel like he’s still on the field. The most important room for the family will be the family room. The cylindrical shape of the room will relate to the shape of a baseball. The couple requests a new master suite that overlooks the water and an exercise room that’s not on the same floor as the master suite. The structure will remain the same through the addition, along with the circulation and open and closed concept.
